Lisa Peterson has
embraced the sport of purebred dogs for 20 years as an owner, breeder
and handler of champion Norwegian Elkhounds in conformation and obedience.
From her home in Newtown, Connecticut she raises puppies, shows and
trains dogs and pursues life as a professional dog writer and columnist.
Her highlights include:
A former crime reporter, Peterson covered some of Connecticuts most sensational murder trials and personalities including the so-called wood-chipper murder case for the defendants hometown newspaper The Newtown Bee. She interviewed forensic expert Dr. Henry Lee, a member of the O.J. Simpson defense "dream team on several occasions and wrote a series on urban gang violence for Norwalk, Connecticuts daily newspaper The Hour. Early in her journalism
career, Peterson worked at The
New Haven Register - Connecticuts second largest daily
newspaper - in its State Capitol Bureau in Hartford. She was honored
with the Society of Professional Journalists "Outstanding
Graduate in Journalism award upon completion of her BA degree
from the University of Bridgeport. |
